microblogging
I sort of use social media to microblog - maybe THAT's why I haven't felt a pressing need to journal in the past.... hmmmmm - and anyway I hardly post anymore so what if I microblog here instead? Not necessarily 240 characters or less (what is the limit these days, anyway?), but just little frequent posts. Not a Big Deal.
Like I just posted about dinner. I wanted to say I made a mix of super supper and deep dish pizza, but outside my family (like, my family of origin, not my current family - I've only made them a handful of times since I've been married because I don't think my husband is crazy about them and my kids don't really care), no one would know. But I know. I KNOW. And this blog is for ME. (The recipe isn't exactly a blend of those, but it has elements and maybe a couple upgrades. Allow me to go into detail since it's for ME.
It has a mashed potato base, but just potatoes, then a meat sauce on top.. it called for tomato puree and it wasn't until I added tomato paste that I realized those are probably different (though what is it? I don't know...) - it also has diced zucchini and bell pepper, which should be interesting. Topped with feta (I did half cheddar for husband) and then a can of crescent rolls separated into rectangles. The sauce tastes a little like deep dish pizza.
It finished cooking while I was typing and I gotta say, first bite is underwhelming. Maybe I want more salt. Maybe I need biscuit, or to mash it all together. In any case, this post is DONE.
