Family weekend

We finally did our adventurous weekend with my uncle at the water park. It was a little rough - very fun, but also challenging. Baby girl had a real tough time sleeping and then when I finally did fall back asleep, I had neglected to wear my CPAP so I didn't sleep real great. I'm pretty sure the entire room was awake for at least a few minutes that night. Poor baby, she's never been a good sleeper.

The water park was pretty fun though. Everyone found something to do. Unfortunately my husband got some pretty unpleasant news about several family members' health when we were checking out, so we made it through a late lunch and then went home. We were all SO tired all weekend. I'm still pretty tired, might be a little sick actually.

Worse than the tired, though, is the depressive thoughts creeping back in. And also some long-standing discouraging daydreams. Ugh why brain. I found a book I like quite a lot, but it's not quite as distracting as I first hoped. Probably due to the minor aches and pains around my eyes and face (I'm hoping I mostly feel under the weather because day 2 of waterpark, I had their burning salt-chlorine water shoot up my nose three different times, oof).

Anyway, if my lymph nodes could not feel swollen and I could feel a little more energetic, that would be great. It was so nice to not be sick last week. I'm so good at resting, too, I can do that, I just also want to take my kids out to buy shoes or whatever. Actually be ready to hand out Valentines (I think they're supposed to be hand-made for one of my kids' classes, and I've waited too long to get any really fun ones anyway). I was sort of hoping to do something fun with the fam on Valentines - another ice cream bar? That would actually be pretty fun. Maybe in a future year I could start doing holiday crafts, too. Buy some more scissors, haha.

But hey I still want to do stuff, so I'll take that as a depression win. Even though it's a downer feeling like I can't do stuff, I still like... WANT to do stuff. Love that for me.
